Introduction
Molusi College Old Students’ Association (MOCOSA) hosts a biennial global reunion to celebrate alumni, bond together, promote networking, and mobilise support for the continued growth of Molusi College. The 9th Global Reunion, hosted by the North America Chapter (MCAA-NA), welcomed over 80 alumni and 50 guests from Nigeria, the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
This gathering provided a space to honor shared heritage, reconnect friendships, discuss school development initiatives, and strengthen the association’s commitment to future generations.
Objectives of the Reunion
- Reconnect and strengthen bonds among alumni.
- Celebrate Molusi College’s heritage, traditions, and values.
- Create opportunities for professional networking and mentorship.
- Support school development through contributions and partnerships.
- Inspire future generations of Molusians through shared success stories.
Highlights of the Reunion
Day 1 – Friday, September 26, 2025 (Meet & Greet)
The reunion opened with an informal Meet and Greet attended by over 40 Molusians. Light refreshments, networking, and storytelling created a warm environment. Alumni across generations shared fond memories, photos, and videos, setting a vibrant tone for the weekend.
Day 2 – Saturday, September 27, 2025 (General Meeting, Dinner & Fundraising)
- Morning Session: Virtual participation enabled through Zoom, coordinated by the Global PRO.
- Evening Dinner & Fundraising: Members and guests were welcomed to the evening session by the reunion chairman, Mr Julius Awoyomi
- Over 100 attendees enjoyed a social night with music, entertainment, and camaraderie.
- Fundraising activities included pledges, donations and raffle ticket sales.
- Prizes awarded: laptop (1st), Samsung tablet (2nd), drone (3rd).
- Recognition plaques were presented to immediate past MCAA-NA executives.
- The night reinforced alumni commitment to Molusi College’s future.
Day 3 – Sunday, September 28, 2025 (Heritage Park Tour)
A group of alumni visited Calgary’s Heritage Park, enjoying a mix of history, culture, and relaxation. The outing provided another platform for bonding and reflecting on shared values in a relaxed setting.
Conclusion
We want to use this medium to thank all Molusians, guests and volunteers for their generosity both morally and financially to the success of the reunion.
The 9th MOCOSA Global Reunion in Calgary was a resounding success, combining reflection, celebration, and purposeful dialogue. It reaffirmed the association’s mission: to honour Molusi College’s legacy, foster alumni unity, and ensure lasting contributions to the school’s growth.
With strengthened bonds, actionable resolutions, and renewed enthusiasm, the reunion set the stage for a brighter future for Molusians worldwide.
The next reunion will be hosted by the Lagos branch in September 2027 in Lagos, Nigeria.
